Shane Training Centre is Tokyo’s only Trinity-accredited TEFL training provider. We specialise in equipping aspiring English teachers with the skills, qualifications, and confidence to succeed in classrooms around the world.

Internationally recognised, professional teaching qualification, for new and experienced teachers, equivalent to the Cambridge CELTA.
Level 7 qualification, internationally recognised, and widely accepted qualification for experienced English language teachers, who wish to advance their career opportunities.
CertTESOL Course Dates
We offer both full-time and part-time courses. The full-time course lasts for 4 weeks, while the part-time course runs for 6 months.

Get TEFL certified, to teach English
Earn the prestigious Trinity CertTESOL certificate, recognised and accepted by ESL employers in Japan, and abroad.
Our Trinity TESOL course (accepted under JET program) is equivalent to Cambridge CELTA, that will equip you with the basic skills and knowledge required to be an English language teacher. It also gives an introduction to the theory and practical aspects of ELT, along with an insight into the challenges and role of the teacher.

Shane Training Center (STC) has been providing English language teaching and training since 1977. STC has been providing the CertTESOL since 2006, and the TCL Diploma TESOL since 2009. It is the only Trinity accredited centre in Japan, dedicated to promoting and fostering teacher development. Our goal is to provide focused training to ensure teachers are the best they can be and for continued professional development.
A Level 5 TEFL Qualification
The CertTESOL is listed as a Level 5 qualification appearing on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) laid out by the UK’s governing body for academic and professional qualifications, Ofqual, giving you an edge over others.
